Trako-Werkzeuge GmbH develops and produces innovative cutting tools to customer requirement, offering optimum quality. Kolja Trautvetter founded the innovative company in Aue, Germany, in 2019. Particularly successful and unique on the market is TrakoMill, the patented high-performance milling cutter. TrakoMill stands out from other cutters thanks to its extraordinary and unique geometry. The distinctive cutting edges not only makes this milling cutter particularly low in vibration, but also characterizes it by its extreme wear resistance. The main area of application for the TrakoMill end mill is in materials that are difficult to machine, such as tool steels, austenitic steels, aluminium alloys, titanium or CFRP/GFRP, as well as new types of laminated materials.
In a research project of the Chair of Production Engineering / Machining Technology at the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau on the production of gas turbine blades, Mr. Trautvetter was able to achieve a 233 % longer tool life with the TrakoMill compared to the reference tool, in a complex machining task. Also in comparison to well-known market competitors, higher cutting values and much better tool life could be achieved with this milling cutter.
The latest grinding machine from Walter Maschinenbau GmbH is used to manufacture the TrakoMill high-performance milling cutters. Due to the different materials machined and a wide variety of requirements, a suitable grinding fluid had to be found. Thanks to the wide-ranging experience of Mr. Trautvetter, who worked for many years as a grinder in various companies, he knew exactly what was important when selecting the right grinding fluid. Requirements were best surface qualities, increased grinding wheel life, and the prevention of cobalt leaching. After a close look at the requirements and a detailed consultation with Mr. Steffen Waldenburger, technical field service of oelheld GmbH, Mr. Trautvetter decided on SintoGrind TTK. This innovative grinding fluid was selected as it optimally fits the grinding task, the grinding machine and the filtration.

SintoGrind TTK grinding oil is a synthetic, high-performance grinding fluid based on polyalphaolefins. It is suitable for machining carbide and HSS materials. The advantages are obvious: excellent surface fiish of the workpieces as well as the prevention of cobalt leaching.
