oelheld UK Exhibits at Walter Open House Event
Working together with leading machine manufacturers has been instrumental in the development of oelheld’s metalworking fluids. Through close co-operation and continuous innovation with OEMs the German fluid manufacturer has created a range of products that are optimised for modern machine technology and which offer the very best performance capabilities even within increasingly demanding machining processes.
Walter Ewag is one such OEM with which oelheld enjoys such a relationship; the grinding technologies of the Walter Helitronic machine found in oelheld’s R&D centre has provided the testing ground for each new generation of oelheld’s synthetic grinding oils, many of which carry a recommendation for use within Walter machines as a result.
So, when the invitation was extended, oelheld UK was pleased to support Walter Ewag’s UK open house which took place between 27th-29th June 2023.
On display at the event were two machines receiving their very first introduction to the UK; the Helitronic Mini Plus and Helitronic G 200, both running oelheld’s fully synthetic polyalphaolefin (PAO) grinding oil, SintoGrind TTK. Designed to offer exceptional accuracy but at a highly affordable price point the grinding, erosion, and laser machining capabilities of both machines were demonstrated by Walter’s team of machining experts who were on hand to answer customer questions.
In addition, visitors were able to take part in a daily information session on the use of integrated measuring being live-streamed from the company’s headquarters in Germany, and receive advice on the potential for cost efficiencies offered by laser contour checking, remote monitoring offered by United Grinding (Walter Ewag’s parent company), and the Helitronic Tool Studio software.
The event attracted customers old and new from across the UK and somewhat marks the beginning of a new chapter for Walter Ewag in the UK as the first major event for the company since new sales and general manager Phil Morris took the helm earlier in the year. For oelheld UK, it was a great opportunity to strengthen the longstanding connections held with Walter Ewag, for new team members to be introduced, and to catch up with the many customers who were in attendance.
